Stealing Hotel Amenities - Right or Wrong?

Came across this article earlier today, which begs the question what items can people take from hotel rooms and what is downright stealing?

Personally, I only take the little shampoo/body lotion bottles when they're from a reputable brand (Hilton/Neutrogena or Sofitel/Hermes!).  And if I don't use them, I'll just donate the unused items to the local women's shelter.  As the article claims, the hotels get free marketing/advertising from their logo on the bottle.  But, cloth laundry bags, bed sheets, and towels?  That's just downright stealing.

That's an interesting article! I agree with your point of view - shampoos, lotions and things are all right - after all, they are meant to be used up anyway. However, laundry bags, towels and sheets is appalling - that is downright stealing not to mention plain cheap!
