Tourism in Bangalore during the weekends?

Hi, I am traveling to Bangalore next week and will be there for a month. I am wondering whether there are good tours available which will allow me to see the sights and sounds of the city or neighboring areas over the weekends. Could you advise me?

There are different kinds of tours or sight-seeing trips that you can take over the weekends in Bangalore. Each of these should take you roughly 4 to 8 hours a day depending on what you choose to do. There are guided walking tours around the city or you can take a trip by car to the neighboring town of Mysore, which has palaces and forts to see. You could even visit Nrityagram, a dance village on the outskirts of Bangalore where you can see a whole lot of traditional Indian dances. Via-Her's Unique Experiences in Bangalore section should help you decide and plan.

I am a woman traveling alone. Are these tours safe?
