Bronx Zoo
Hello. Does anyone here know if it is safe to take the subway to the Bronx Zoo. Also, what time does it close? |

The subways are generally safe ways to travel, especially during rush hour (7am - 10 am and then again in the evenings, 6pm to 10pm). |

I agree with that the subways are a safe way to travel the city but as a native New Yorker I take an express bus which picks up along Madison Avenue (BxM11) and then directly to the zoo. While I encourage people to use mass transit here in NYC (Do It Like a New Yorker.com) this bus is by far the quickest and easiest way to get to the Bronx Zoo. |

Yes, it is entirely safe to travel by subway to the Bronx Zoo. The Zoo is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the week; 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. These hours are in effect until Nov. 1.The website for the Zoo is www.bronxzoo.com--Rosaleah
